Beautiful And Rare Dearmond X-155 Guild Fender
For auction is
a beautiful and rare 2000 or ‘01 DeArmond /Guild X-155. Fender acquired Guild in the mid 90’s and
began making DeArmond/Guild X-155’s in the late 90’s through early 2000’s. During the last year of production Fender
dropped the Guild name on the DeArmond guitars and simply called them DeArmond. This guitar was made in Korea at the same
factory that made Guild and Gretsch guitars for Fender during the same period. This is a near perfect example of one of these
beautiful jazz-box guitars. The guitar sounds
and pays awesome and shows very little wear for a 12 year old guitar. The DeArmond pickups sound excellent and are a great paring for this big body guitar. The only blemishes I can find on these
guitars are the fine scratches on the pick guard and fine surface scratches in the
back – all of which could be polished out to look new. This version of the X-155 is rare – I have only
seen one other with the dot marker fret board and no Guild markings. This is a no reserve auction and is an opportunity
to own a like rare like new DeArmond X-155 at a great price.
