Vintage 1966 Fender Mustang Guitar, No Reserve
This is a vintage CBS era 1966 Fender Mustang guitar, produced at Fender's now defunct Fullerton, CA factory. This guitar has been refinished from its original color (which I think was black) to a brown veneer finish. The refinish is very worn, so I would imagine that it was done some years ago. Despite the wear, the slab body is solid with no cracks. Everything on this guitar is original, except for the tremolo bar, the tuners and the finish. The pearloid white pick guard is crack-free. Electronically, this guitar is amazing, with everything working as it should. It sports a 3-way selector switch for each of the two pickups and then has master volume and tone knobs. The neck stamp of this guitar reads "16MAR66B". The serial number also places it at '66. The back of the body does show some heavy buckle rash. Additionally, the neck shows signs of wear. There is also some moderate fret wear. Most importantly, this guitar is a player, and it does it's job amazingly. The action on the neck is very low and the tone is distinctly Fender. This guitar will be safely packed and shipping in a gigbag. Continental US only, please. If you have any questions I will gladly answer them to the best of my ability. Thanks for looking.
